Supporting Families at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida

Team AWP, April 13, 2026

Recently, AWP Safety was honored to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida, an organization that provides comfort, stability, and care to families while their children receive critical medical treatment.

The organization was nominated through AWP Safety’s Community Giving Program by area manager Carl McKinney, who has a personal connection to the mission. A donation of $1,500 was made to support RMHC’s ongoing work, and members of the local AWP Safety Florida team had the opportunity to prepare and serve dinner for 23 families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Orlando. Team volunteers also helped restock the facility’s pantry.

Ronald McDonald House Charities offers temporary, low-cost or free housing and essential services for families whose children are hospitalized due to serious illness or injury. Located near hospitals, these homes provide more than a place to stay—they offer warmth, meals, and a sense of normalcy during an incredibly challenging time.

For Carl, the experience was deeply meaningful.

Having once relied on the Ronald McDonald House while my own son was hospitalized, it meant a great deal to give back to an organization that supported my family when we needed it most.

We are grateful to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida for the vital role they play in keeping families together, and to our local team for helping extend that care in a tangible way.
