AWP Safety’s Community Giving Program is proud to support Common Grace, a Hawaii-based non-profit dedicated to guiding teens through life’s challenges. Since 2001, Common Grace has paired students with caring mentors who help them stay on track toward graduation and beyond—empowering them to build brighter futures.
This donation was inspired by Edmaline Malapit, AWP Safety Sign Shop Supervisor in Honolulu, Hawaii. Edmaline nominated Common Grace for the AWP Safety Community Giving program after learning about the program first-hand from her daughter, Kayla. Kayla works for Common Grace.
“I want to be involved and support Common Grace in any way I can because of my daughter’s dedication, and what they are doing to support the local schools and the community,” said Edmaline.
Since its inception, Common Grace has matched thousands of students with mentors, spreading and sharing kindness among local schools and communities throughout Hawaii.
With AWP Safety’s $1,000 contribution, we are able to continue our mission of creating a safer environment for progress—not only on the roadways, but also for the lives of those in the communities we serve. We are honored to support Common Grace and their commitment to helping teens thrive.
The AWP Safety Community Giving Program was established in 2023 to support charitable programs and initiatives that improve safety, quality of life, equity, and self-sufficiency in the communities we serve. Since its inception, the program has awarded over $58,000 to qualifying nonprofit organizations.
